You may be wondering why the radio silence here, of late. Don’t worry, friends, I’ve just been busy. 2012 has been nuts so far. For me, anyway. And the race for the Republican nomination, but that is a matter for other people’s blogs.
I helped lead a couple of events, and blogged about them on my day job’s site:
- “Hacking Into a Data Journalism Revolution“ – about the Hacks/Hackers DC meetup on using Python for web scraping.
- “Harnessing the Power of Social Media in Developing Nations“ – about the Social Media Week DC panel, “Innovations in Social Media in the Developing World“.
Then, we had a weeklong orientation for the fellows who will lead our new data journalism projects in Brazil and Argentina.
Lastly, I zoomed right from orientation to the SXSW Interactive Festival for four solid days of tech-infused raging. Absolutely fantastic that I had an iPad and iPhone in tow. (Anticipate a blog post soon).
Now, I’m back home, wiped out, voice shot, still processing, still getting my life back in order.
What a ride.
